Print This Page Novartis Puts CA$1.3 Million into Fish Health Chair
CANADA - Swiss pharmaceutical giant Novartis has handed $1.3 million to Charlottetown's Atlantic Veterinary College to fund a research chair in fish health.
The money covers salary and a portion of research costs over five years, reports cbc.ca.
Dean Don Reynolds said Tuesday the new chair should help AVC establish itself in the world of research.
"Our ultimate goal is to be the pre-eminent academic institution on a worldwide basis," Reynolds told cbc.ca.
