SA Seafood Coming to French Plates

GLOBE - The State Government hopes an agreement to take South Australian seafood to France will attract interest from the rest of Europe.

According to ABC News, the deal signed between the Government and Europe's association of chefs, Euro-Toques International, means South Australian produce will feature on the menus of more than 400 French chefs.

The deal will also include training partnerships between South Australia and France, says ABC News.

The Agriculture, Food and Fisheries Minister, Paul Caica, says the $140,000 agreement will boost production in the aquaculture sector.

"Most recently we've had a 25 per cent jump in the value of production in our aquaculture over the last financial year and we expect this will significantly increase in an industry that already employs 3,000 South Australians," he said.
