Print This Page Training Course for Fish Farmers
INDIA - A two day fish farmers training course was held on ‘intensive aquaculture in ponds and tanks’ under the National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB) at the begining of the month.
A total of 40 farmers training programme organised by the District Fishery Officer for Phek and sponsored by the directorate of Fisheries, Nagaland, accordingt to a report in the Morung Express.
K Meren Lkr, District Fishery Officer, Phek, said that the main topics discussed during the training included pre-stocking and water quality management of ponds, cultivable fish species, and post-stocking management of ponds.
DFO Kilangmeren Lkr and technical field staff were the trainers.
