US Set Anti-Dumping Tariff

INDIA - The US Department of Commerce settled the final rates of the third administrative review of anti-dumping duty imposed on shrimp and prawns imported from India.

The DoC has decided to keep the same level of 0.79 per cent announced in the preliminary results of the review in March, according to a report in the Business Standard.

Only one Indian company, Devi Sea Foods, will attract a rate of 0.39 per cent says the report.

The Indian fisheries exporters had called for the rate to be brougth down to 0.5 per cent and then reduced to zero.

Last year, the tariffs affected 156 Indian companies.
