Print This Page Turkish Production Slips
TURKEY - Aquaculture production in Turkey was down by 61.3 per cent last year compared to 2007 according to official statistics.
The Turkish Board of Statistics said that 646,000 tonnes of aquaculture products were produced in 2008.
Salt water products accounted for 61.2 per cent of production, accoding to the statistic board.
The East Black Sea region had the largest share of production with 64.7 per cent compared to other regions, a report in Anadolu Ajansi.
