Print This Page Chile Establishes Salmon Research Centres
CHILE - The Chilean government plans on establishing three Norwegian research institutes in the country, in an effort to boost the national salmon farming industry.
According to a report from FIS, the idea is that the centres develop studies to increase the productivity of the aquaculture industry, as well as help determine the best sanitary conditions for salmon breeding, and other species.
The head of the Ministry of Economy, Hugo Lavados, disclosed this as one of the objectives of his trip to Norway arranged for 18 August.
