The varieties were released in the lake by the order of Secretary Forestry Wildlife and Fisheries (Punjab) Mr Babar Hassan Bharwana.
The fish seed of Rohu, Mori, Thaila, and Chinese grass carp, were released by Director General Fisheries, Dr Muhammad Ayub, with other Directors of Fisheries Department and local officers of the Forest Department.

PAKISTAN - The Punjab Fisheries Department has released large size fish seed of different culturable fish varieties in the "Mehtabi Lake" at Changa Manga, near Lahore.
