Print This Page Scottish Parliament Supports Sustainable Aquaculture
SCOTLAND, UK - In todays meeting at Parliament, the Scottish goverment acknowledged the continued development of an ambitious and sustainable Scottish aquaculture industry.
The Environment Minister Roseanna Cunningham said that Parliament recognises the economic importance of the industry to Scotland as a whole and many coastal communities in particular.
She also supports the considerable work being carried out under the auspices of A Fresh Start – the renewed Strategic Framework for Scottish Aquaculture, published on 21 May 2009, and notes the continuing commitment to dialogue on the future of the industry in Scotland.
