Fish Farming Forecast To Recover

AUSTRALIA - The Australian aquaculture industry has had a tough few years, but a recovery may not be far off.

Markets and prices have been flat in the wake of the Global Financial Crisis and domestic product has suffered at the hands of cheap imported seafood, reports ABC Rural.

However, research company IbisWorld predicts there'll be a resurgence over the next five years.

Senior analyst Ian McGowan says in a win for Australian producers the recovery could be lead by southern bluefin tuna and barramundi.
