bpt-Congress scheduled to coincide with EuroTier again
Following the successful premiere in 2008, the German Association of Veterinary Practitioners (bpt) will be holding its annual conference and associated “Veterinary Exhibition” to partly coincide with EuroTier at the Exhibition Grounds in Hanover once again in 2010.
An “International Animal Health Event” organised jointly by the DLG and bpt will once again serve veterinarians from all over the world as a meeting place and contact forum, and also as a link between EuroTier and the bpt Congress.
Top-flight international technical programme
Together with partners from the worlds of business, academia, consultancy, associations and organisations, the DLG will once again this year be presenting a comprehensive technical programme supplementing the programme offered by exhibitors. It will include international congresses and events, as well as animal species-specific forum events addressing topical trends and key developments in the industry.
For instance, the EuroTier Pig Event, the EuroTier Dairy Event and the International Poultry Event for top international armers will all be held at the Convention Center (CC) on 15 November 2010, the eve of the exhibition opening. These events are major contact and information forums.
Top-flight speakers will address current topics and thus provide impetus for the future at each of them. In addition, an international panel discussion for the poultry branch will be held on this day. In addition the ZDG (Zentralverband der Deutschen Geflügelwirtschaft - Central Association of German Poultry Producers) will be holding its General Meeting at the Convention Center (CC) in the Exhibition Grounds Hanover on 15 November 2010.
On the second day of the exhibition (17 November 2010), the market interlinkages between the European Union and the new Customs Union between Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan will be discussed at an East European Conference. The second Chinese-European Pig Conference will also be held on 17 November 2010.
At the daily forum, events are being held separately for each of the main animal species, representatives from science and research, consultancy, industry and practical farming will talk about current trends and important developments relating to interesting topics.
There will be simultaneous German/English interpreting at many of these events. This makes EuroTier’s forum events a major source of information for international visitors too.
A “Young Farmers Day” is once again being organised for young farmers and students of agriculture from home and abroad at EuroTier 2010. In addition to a visit to EuroTier on 18 November 2010, the programme will include various job forums, a future congress and opportunities to meet and exchange experiences, culminating in the highlight of the “Young Farmers Party”.
Multilingual information on the internet
The DLG has set up a special, multilingual information service on the Internet, so that all interested in the exhibition can gather information about EuroTier 2010 quickly and comprehensively.
The website has information pages in German, English and many other languages. The EuroTier internet site is updated constantly and includes information about exhibitors, innovations and the technical programme. International visitors will also be able to find information about the DLG TravelService with contact agents in 45 countries.
High numbers of visitors expected
The DLG reports strong visitor interest from both home and abroad. Preliminary enquiries indicate large numbers of visitors from Germany’s neighbours in Western and Northern Europe. Many specific intentions to visit the exhibition have been registered.
In addition many experts are expected from the Central and Eastern European countries, chiefly from Poland, Russia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Ukraine and the Baltic countries. No forward-looking animal farmer can afford to do without this excellent source and range of information.
A visit to EuroTier 2010 is a must for business farmers. The DLG expects more than 120,000 visitors.

GERMANY - EuroTier will be opening its gates to the international public from 16 to 19 November 2010. The worlds top event for professional animal farmers is being held at the largest exhibition grounds on earth in Hanover. This year in 2010 visitors will find a programme covering all segments of the industry, from cattle, pig, sheep and poultry farming, through bioenergy, right up to aquaculture.
