Crayfish Plague Hits Italy
21 April 2011ITALY - The Italien Veterinary Department has confirmed that there has been an outbreak of crayfish plague (Aphanomyces astaci) in Lake Garda, near Trento, Italy.
The wild European freshwater crayfish, found in fresh water were confirmed dead earlier this week.
The department will continue to investigate this outbreak.
