Outbreak Of Oyster Herpes Virus In Netherlands
04 July 2011THE NETHERLANDS - An outbreak of oysreid herpesvirus 1 has been reported in wild pacific oysters in the Netherlands.
In total there have been 16 cases, with 30 oysters culled.
The outbreak occurred in a coastal population, with 50 per cent mortality.
The situation will continue to be monitored.
