Closed Area For Shellfish Harvesting

CANADA - Part of the upper North shore has been closed to shellfish harvesting due to toxicity.

Fisheries and Oceans Canada is informing the Upper North Shore population that the harvesting of shellfish is now forbidden due to toxicity, in accordance with the prohibition order mentioned below, and pursuant to subsection 3(1) of the Management of Contaminated Fisheries Regulations, in the following shellfish area:

Upper North Shore : Banc Marie-Marthe (Île Laval) (N-04.1.2.1)

From a point at east of Rivière Laval's fairway to a point on shore, north of Ile Brûlette's west side, excluding any area awithin 200 m around Ile Laval (Banc Marie-Marthe).
