Asmak Signs Deal With Jordan

UNITED ARAB EMIRATES and JORDAN - United Arab Emirates (UAE) based Asmak - International Fish Farming Holding, a pioneer aquaculture and seafood manufacturing and distribution company with a rapidly growing footprint in the Middle East, announced it has signed a deal to supply over 2,000 tonnes of seafood products per annum to Military Consumer Establishment (MCE), Jordan.

EmiratesNewsAgency reports that the two-year deal worth an annual export value of $9 million was signed between Hamad Abdulla Al Shamsi, Chairman, Asmak, and Brigadier General Ali Saleh Al Jazzazy, General Director of MCE, Jordan, at the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce. Mohammed Hilal Al Muhairi, Director General of Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce, was present at the signing ceremony.

Under the agreement, MCE through its network of 90 plus retail outlets in Jordan will annually sale over 2,000 tonnes of Asmak's range of seafood products. Amman Oasis Company, Jordan, will support MCE in overseeing the distribution logistics of Asmak's seafood in the Jordan marketplace.

During the signing ceremony, Hamad Abdulla Al Shamsi said: "Our agreement with MCE Jordan marks a milestone in fisheries exports for the UAE. I thank our new partners in Jordan and the Asmak team for successfully concluding the negotiations for this landmark deal."

"We are also proud to partner with MCE Jordan in our endeavor to cater to customers in the country. The extensive reach of MCE in the Jordan market will supplement Asmak's efforts to make quality seafood products available to all sections across the country."

Brigadier Al Jazazi said: "We have always considered the UAE our second home for its tradition of hospitality and the successful partnerships we share with several UAE-based enterprises. We are confident of nurturing a mutually benefit relationship with Asmak and proud to introduce the company to our distribution channels."
