China's Oceanus Seeks Singapore Main Board Listing
CHINA - Oceanus Bio-Tech (Holdings) Ltd., a Chinese fish farmer, Monday said it has filed its preliminary prospectus with the Monetary Authority of Singapore for a listing on the main board of the Singapore Exchange.
Founded in 1996, Oceanus engages in large-scale industrial breeding, farming and sale of fish fingerling and adult fish and other seafood in China. Its specialties are the bastard halibut and turbot as well as other varieties including puffer fish, sole, abalone and sea cucumber.
It currently operates six production facilities in Shandong Province, with four of them inland and two offshore.
Oceanus said it owns 12 patents covering various aspects of its production expertise, and it was accorded the title of China's National Model Demonstration Farm in March 2005 for its adoption of safe and environmentally friendly aquaculture production practices.
Oceanus posted net profit of CNY35.2 million on revenue of CNY109.8 million last year, it said in a press release.
HL Bank will be the manager, underwriter and placement agent for Oceanus's initial public offering.
