AgriMarine To Address Salmon Producers In Chile

Sustainability Post-harvest

CANADA and CHILE - AgriMarine Holdings, the leader in floating solid-wall containment technology and production for sustainable aquaculture, will be sponsorsing and participating in the annual Global Aquaculture Alliance Conference, being held this year in Santiago, Chile.

In its first appearance in the Southern Hemisphere, GOAL 2011 will be held from 6 - 9 November, 2011 and will highlight Chile, whose aquaculture industry is transforming itself to achieve greater sustainability and restore its position as a top salmon producing country.

Representing AgriMarine at the conference will be Mr Phil Fitzpatrick, Senior Advisor, who will be addressing the conference delegates to discuss the environmental benefits and operational efficiencies of the AgriMarine System, with a presentation titled Aquaculture for a Changing World.

The GOAL conference is specifically targeted to the decision makers in the industry, remarked Mr Fitzpatrick.

Early results from our demonstration farms in Canada and China indicate improvements in fish health, growth cycles and operating costs all achieved in a sustainable and responsible fashion. The presentation during the GOAL conference will provide an overview of how marine-based closed containment technology fits within the changing needs of all stakeholders around the world, and how the industry can be part of this positive change.
