GLOBAL - The FAO Fisheries and Aquaculture Department is developing guidelines for small-scale fisheries.

Representatives will be meeting this week in New Caledonia to run a regional workshop on the issue.

FAO wants to work with fishing communities and organisations to create guidelines that will promote sustainable small-scale fisheries.
