SPAIN - At a Sector Conference on Fisheries, held at the headquarters of the Department under the chairmanship of the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Environment, Miguel Arias Cañete, the distribution of €68,283,263 between regions was agreed.

Of these funds, €57,483,263 is allocated for the financing of the Programme of the European Fisheries Fund (EFF).

The aim is to alleviate the difficult financial situations and for the government to meet commitments and payments for FEP projects, transferring part of the advance available.

The Sector has also approved the payment of €10,800,000 for the annual 2012 National Decommissioning Plan.
