Liam joins MSD Animal Health from a leading hatchery operation which he has managed for the last six years. In addition to his previous role Liam has worked in aquaculture enterprises in Scotland and South Africa.
Announcing the appointment, MSD Animal Health Business Unit Director David Schofield confirms: "We are delighted to welcome Liam Doherty to the UK team. His experience will provide important support and input as we continue to see an increasing number of salmon producers choosing to adopt our SLICE Monitor and PD Monitor health programmes."
Mr Schofield continues: "I believe that the success of these programmes has been built on the strength of the technical team and their strategic approach to working with our clients. Liam's appointment will allow us to provide further support as we work with producers in optimising their fish health programmes."
SLICE Monitor supports the use of SLICE for the control of sea lice and PD Monitor supports vaccination programmes with Norvax Compact PD for protection against Pancreas Disease.
