Print This Page Chilean salmonid exports to the EU has increased
EU - The exports of Chilean salmonids to the EU in the first nine months of this year totalled 34.700 net tonnes, a volume that equals 13 percent of the total exported from Chile and an increase compared to the same period last year, the Chilean website aqua.cl reported.The exports to the EU are reportedly to the group of countries where Chile has experienced the biggest growth.
The total exports of salmon and trout from Chile until September this year has increased by 5 percent compared to last year, and totalled 265.400 net tonnes.
Japan remains the market leader of Chilean destined salmon with 35 percent of exports, totalling 92.200 net tonnes, although the export volume to Japan has decreased by 14 percent since last year.
