GAA Signs Agreement with Indonesian Aquaculture Society

INDONESIA - The Global Aquaculture Alliance (GAA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Indonesian Aquaculture Society, in which the two organisations will work collaboratively toward responsible aquaculture.

The agreement came on Nov. 2 at GAAs GOAL 2012 conference at the Shangri-La Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand.

Were pleased to announce the intent to form a relationship with the Indonesian Aquaculture Society, said GAA Executive Director Wally Stevens.

We look forward to expanding the outreach that we do throughout Indonesia in education and training. Were looking at a mutual collaboration between the two organisations to advance responsible aquaculture.

Stevens was joined by Dr Rokhmin Dahuri, M.S., chairman of the Indonesian Aquaculture Society and a professor and senior scientist at the Center for Coastal and Marine Resources Studies at Bogor Agriculture University in West Java, Indonesia.
