Closed Area for Shellfish Harvesting in Lower St. Lawrence

CANADA - Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Quebec Region, wants to inform the Lower St. Lawrence population that harvesting of shellfish is now forbidden due to cessation of biotoxin monitoring.

In accordance with the prohibition order mentioned below, and pursuant to subsection 3(1) of the Management of Contaminated Fisheries Regulations, the following shellfish areas are closed:

Riviere-du-Loup: le Verte (B-02.4)
The waters around le Verte, at less than 800 meters off the shore.
