After recent stock data showed the stock is improving, fishermen expected to see a rise in the quota, reports TimesofMalta.

Many fishermen stated that the decision of increasing the quota by roughly 500 tons is unfair.

Following the positive scientific evidence showing tuna is recovering very rapidly, we were expecting the global quota to increase at least to 16,000 tons.
