Testing for certain types of diseases must be performed at either the NVSL or other APHIS-approved facilities. Some testing is performed only by laboratories in the National Animal Health Laboratory Network (NAHLN). Different diagnostic laboratories are approved to perform specific diagnostic tests for specific diseases.

APHIS Updates List of Approved Aquatic Diagnostic Labs
US - The National Veterinary Services Laboratories (NVSL) of APHIS-VS has updated its list of approved laboratories that perform aquaculture testing.
