South Korea's Fisheries Output Shrank in 2012

SOUTH KOREA - South Korea's fisheries output declined slightly last year from a year earlier as harsh weather conditions like typhoons hampered catch in coastal areas, data showed.

Fisheries production amounted to 3.18 million tons last year, down 2.2 per cent or 73,000 tons from a year earlier, according to the data provided by Statistics Korea, reports YonhapNewsAgency.
