For the first time ever at a fishing expo, Anderson Marine will be displaying a fully fitted-out Kingfisher 26 that has been developed for potting and hand-lining for mackerel. Featuring a traditional displacement hull, this versatile craft is already a popular choice among many small boat skippers.

Jimmy Anderson of Anderson Marine said: “At last year’s Aberdeen exhibition we had a Kingfisher 26 hull on display, but this time around we will be showing a fully equipped vessel, which we are confident will spark considerable interest amongst fishermen. The Aberdeen exhibition is a great showcase for the fishing industry and we are looking forward to showing visitors the versatility of the Kingfisher 26.”

Also exhibiting will be Gerry Smyth Boats, who will be displaying their own design of a fully fitted-out 9.8m potter built for Fraserburgh skipper Robert Morgan of Saltsea Ltd.

Gerry Smyth said: “This design of craft offers a spacious and stable working platform for potting, combined with excellent sea handling qualities. We are looking forward tremendously to meeting Scottish skippers in Aberdeen so that they can see at first hand the benefits of this kind of craft.”

Sharon Boyle of show organiser Mara Media said: “Boat displays are always a star attraction for visitors to our fishing expos and we are delighted that both Gerry Smyth Boats and Anderson Marine will be exhibiting in Aberdeen.”

The Skipper Expo International Aberdeen 2013 will be held in Aberdeen on 10 and 11 May 2013 at the Aberdeen Exhibition & Conference Centre (AECC). More information at www.maramedia.ie or contact Sharon Boyle on 00353 86 840 1250.
