NORWAY - The Russian veterinary service has imposed no additional restrictions on fish from Norway.
The Norwegian Food Safety Authority (FSA) and the Russian veterinary service agreed to a meeting in Moscow to discuss the import of Norwegian fish and seafood to Russia.
The Russian veterinary stated that it looks seriously at the situation and has asked for input, planning and documentation to ensure safe food and fair trade between the two countries.
"FSA also has a desire to sort out the situation and we look forward to meeting our Russian counterparts in Moscow in mid-May," says Bjorn Røthe Knudtsen, chief negotiator for the FSA.
