S. Korea, China Agree to Cooperate on Fisheries Control in Yellow Sea

18 July 2013

SOUTH KOREA - China's navy has agreed to control Chinese fishing boats illegally operating near the tense inter-Korean border with North Korea in the Yellow Sea, the South Korean Navy said Friday (12 July).

According to Yonhap News Agency, the agreement, reached between the visiting South Korean Navy chief, Adm. Choi Yoon-hee, and his Chinese counterpart, Wu Shengli, is seen as a sign that the two countries, which fought against each other in the Korean War, are more prepared than ever to develop their relations even in the military sector.
