The educational tours proved popular with the public once again this year, with almost every tour fully booked.

“It’s always great to see so many people interested in learning more about what we do,” said David Minato, Member and Community Relations Co-ordinator for the BCSFA.

The BCSFA and its members started the tour program as a way to provide more information to the general public about their operations. It’s been growing in popularity with each year.

“We really have to say a big thank-you to the farm site workers – we couldn’t do these tours without them,” said Minato. “The farm workers are very proud of what they do and they really enjoying being able to talk to the public and answer questions.”

The farm tour program is scheduled to resume in June 2014.
