Print This Page Solution for EU dispute
EU - Aquaculture marketing company Callander McDowell has proposed a possible solution to the ongoing salmon dispute between Norway and the EU.Following the imposition of a permanent minimum import price to allay dumping fears, Norway has notified the EU it will take the matter to the WTO.
Callander McDowell has suggested the EU should scrap the minimum price in return for access to haddock in Norwegian waters. It added: "This would enable Norway to meet growing consumer demand for farmed salmon, while safeguarding vital Scottish fishing industry jobs."
