ECUADOR - The South Korean delegation, headed by Dr Bong Suk Chool, have visited Ecuador, in order to strengthen ties of cooperation between KIOST (Research Laboratory Korea-Peru on Science and Technology for Latin America) and the National Fisheries Institute (INP).

Edwin Moncayo, director of the INP, welcomed the Korean delegation, saying that the exchange of experiences in the area will strengthen the technical skills of each country.

Myoung-Goo Jung introduced the Aquaculture and Breeding Programme in Marine Farms to be held in Korea.

Issues to be addressed include: annual fish production, fish commodities, demand for fish products, commercial fish species, and fisheries production in Korea and the rest of the world.

A Memorandum of Understanding is planned between INP and KIOST to be signed in November 2013.
