Insopesca Inspects Hygiene and Safety of Fishmonger Facilities

VENEZUELA - The Socialist Institute of Fishing and Aquaculture (Insopesca) is inspecting the health of fishmongers facilities in Zulia state, to fight against speculation and ensure for the safety of fishery products.

During the audit, Insopesca found flaws in the handling of waste, lack of tools for proper handling of fishery products, deficiency in the cold chain and the hygiene of the working tools.

Health warnings were given to offenders giving a range of 15 days to comply with the corrective action.
