The event is organized by Riviera Holdings and will discuss, among other things, the creation of an Investment Fund Participation (FIP), exclusive for companies.

The seminar will be held from 9am, at the Convention Center 21 Brazil, in the New World room and will be attended by the Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture, Marcelo Crivelli, representatives of the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES), the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa) and aquaculture sector companies.

The minister will present business opportunities in Brazilian aquaculture and the potential of the activity in the country.

According to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), aquaculture is one of the fastest growing sectors of animal husbandry and, in the next decade, the production of fisheries and aquaculture will surpass the production of beef, pork or chicken.

The event will be divided into two. The morning will feature presentations by five "cases" of successful companies in the field of aquaculture.

The second panel will be on competitive advantages in the industry and will have talks by Minister Marcelo Crivelli, representatives of Riviera Investments, BNDES and Embrapa.
