New Subsidies for Developing Spanish Aquaculture Products

18 December 2013

SPAIN - The Spanish Cabinet has approved a Royal Decree, establishing the regulatory bases for the issuance, on a competitive basis, of grants to develop new markets and campaigns promoting fishery and aquaculture products.

Funding for the grants will go under the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment, which is set in the budget and the European Fisheries Fund (EFF) under the Operational Programme for the Spanish fishing sector, establishing a maximum level of €60,000 per entity.

The call for these grants will be published next year by a Ministerial Order.
