Total Value of Icelandic Catch Down in January-October 2013

ICELAND - The total value of catch of Icelandic vessels amounted to 130.8 billion ISK in January-October 2013, compared with 138.4 billion ISK in the first ten months of 2012, according to Statistics Iceland.

Total value decreased therefore by 5.5 per cent between years.

Total value of demersal species accounted for ISK 75.9 billion; thereof cod ISK 38.1 billion, haddock 9.6 billion, and redfish 11.5 billion.

Total value of pelagic species accounted for ISK 41.6 billion and flatfish catches for 8.4 billion.
