Waitrose Listing and Two New Products for The Saucy Fish Co.

Waitrose is a chain of British supermarkets, forming the food retail division of Britain's largest employee-owned retailer, the John Lewis Partnership.

As of October 2013, Waitrose has 300 branches across the United Kingdom including 30 "little Waitrose" convenience stores, and a 4.9 per cent share of the market, making it the sixth-largest grocery retailer in the UK.

Five products will be available to buy including two brand new fish and sauce combinations – Sea Bream with Orange and Fennel Sauce and Cod Fillets with Sunblush Tomato Dressing.

Saucy Fish’s popular Smoked Haddock with Davidstow® Cheddar foil bake bag, Salmon with Red Pesto dressing and Salmon with Chilli Lime and Ginger in One Perfect Portion, will join the new products on Waitrose chiller aisles.

This new listing for The Saucy Fish Co. is the latest in a string of successes for the Grimsby-based fish brand, after being awarded Official CoolBrand 2013/14 status late last year and winning a Gold Award in the Healthy Ready Meal category in the Health & Fitness and Women’s Fitness magazines Healthy Food Awards.

Simon Smith, Head of Brand at The Saucy Fish Co. comments: “Our products offer a premium, high quality mealtime option for those who are tight on time but don’t want to sacrifice taste or quality. What we offer is perfectly aligned with the typical Waitrose shopper’s requirements – and we’re looking forward to reaching a new audience with our inspiring fish and sauce combinations.”
