It is considered that on Wednesday 5 March to 20 April this year, about 250,000 tons of marine products and aquaculture will be sold, said the head of the National Commission of Aquaculture and Fisheries (CONAPESCA).

He noted that the Government of the Republic promotes the consumption of fishery and aquaculture products from domestic production to move beyond the assumption that seafood products become too expensive during Lent.

The official of the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food (SAGARPA) emphasised that the supply is guaranteed, since domestic production amounts to more than 600,000 million tons.
