Chicken in Pahang, Pomfret in Penang Sold Cheaply

MALAYSIA - The standard dressed chicken is sold at a low price at the Tunas Manja supermarket in Temerloh, Pahang, where it is tagged at RM5.89 per kilogramme.

Bernama.com reports that at the Alor Gajah wet market, Melaka, the price of dressed chicken was RM7.80 a kilogramme, while at the Taman Lip Sin wet market in Penang, it was RM8 a kilogramme, and in the Beluran wet market in Sandakan, Sabah, it was RM12.

According to the news portal, www.1pengguna.com, the price of medium-sized black pomfret at the Giant supermarket in Penang Plaza, Penang, was RM3.99 a kilogramme, compared to RM8.99 in the Rapid supermarket in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan and RM25 a kg in Dengkil Market, Selangor.

Ten grade A chicken eggs were also cheap at a price of RM2.86, at the H&L supermarket in Tabuan Jaya, in Sabah compared to the Precinct 16 market in Putrajaya (RM3.70), Cold Storage supermarket in Plaza Pelangi, Johor Baharu (RM4.49) and Kerteh wet market in Terengganu (RM5).
