Karmøy Winch will feature its deck machinery range at Aberdeen, with the company currently enjoying a very busy period at the moment, which has included the recent supply of a complete deck package for the new Norwegian purse-seiner/trawler, Vendla. Karmøy is also in the process of delivering deck machinery to the new Norwegian purse-seiners/trawlers Østerbris, M Ytterstad and Haugagut.

Helge Hystad of Karmøy added: “Next year we will be delivering the deck machinery to the new pelagic trawler Western Viking for Ireland that is currently being built at the Karstensen Shipyard in Denmark. We look forward to meeting our customers at the Aberdeen fisheries expo.”

The news of Karmøy’s attendance follows on from the confirmation that the Scottish Seafood Association’s popular stand will be returning this year. Another major focal point of attraction will be the Scottish Fishermen’s Federation stand where skippers will be able to collect free Personal Flotation Devices (PFDs) for themselves and their crew (provided evidence of mandatory certification is provided).

There will also be boat displays from three different companies – Anderson Marine, Maver Boats and G Smyth Boats.

Sharon Boyle of Mara Media said: “This is really shaping up to be a fantastic show and we are delighted by the huge numbers of exhibitors who have signed up. We expect the show to be very busy and visitors will be able to beat the queues by pre-registering via our website.”

The Skipper Expo Int. Aberdeen 2014 will be held in the Aberdeen Exhibition & Conference Centre in Scotland on 30 and 31 May. More information on the event and to pre-register at www.maramedia.ie or contact Sharon Boyle on 00353 86 840 1250.
