The organization recognised the Federal Government's support for the implementation of the Fisheries Improvement Project for dolphin fish.

"We believe this innovative and visionary action of Ecuador, increases the competitiveness of the fisheries sector, strengthens its markets, contributes to the fishing industry and maintains sources of employment of thousands of artisanal fishermen working in the fishery," said Suzanne Lindsay Walker.

She added: "We hope to continue supporting the implementation of the Fisheries Improvement project, so that the dorado fishery in the future will meet the standard of sustainability of Marine Stewardship Council (MSC)".

The Kroger Company ranks as one of the largest suppliers in the world, with more than 2,400 stores in 31 states, with annual sales of more than $ 96 billion.
