VIET NAM - Since early July 2014, tuna catch by fishermen in Phu Yen province has reported a sharp increase.
The increase has brought the revenue to VND200-400 million for each fishing trip, according to provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, reports VASEP.
Each tuna fishing vessel yielded 60 pieces with the weight of 60-110 kilogram per piece. Compared to previous years, tunas caught this year have a large size. As a result, its price increased by VND20,000-40,000 per kilogram.
