NOW Foods Certfied Sustainable for Krill Oil Products

Sustainability Processing +3 more

US - US nutrition company NOW has gained the Friend of the Sea certification for its krill oil products.

Approved products are now eligible to carry the Friend of the Sea label, identifying their origin from a sustainable source and providing consumers with a guarantee of a sustainable, effective fishery management.

Krill is fished only by Friend of the Sea approved vessels in areas where stocks are not over-exploited and the fishery is sustainably managed. A certified Chain of Custody guarantees the origin of the products.

"NOW is pleased to receive Friend of the Sea certification for our krill oil products in recognition of our commitment to the environment and being a responsible corporate citizen," said Jim Emme, NOW’s CEO.
