Sakhalin Closes for Pink Salmon after Sparse Harvests

RUSSIA - The Sakhalin area in Russia has been closed to pink salmon fishing from 20 August due to sparse harvests. The closure comes as a surprise after only 43,000 metric tonnes has been caught out of the 139,000 metric tonnes quota, reports Rob Reierson, Tradex Foods.
