Young’s will email the thousands of consumers who have signed up for Young’s recipe newsletters with a special Seafood Week newsletter outlining the benefits of fish, new recipes and ways to get involved in the week.

During the week Young’s will be posting recipes online and on social media that fit in with the daily fish themes of Seafood Week such as Sweet Chilli Cod Fillet Strip Tacos, which use Young’s Sweet Chilli Cod Fillet Strips launched this Autumn.

As well as encouraging consumers to try more fish, Young’s Seafood Limited will also be informing employees about healthy fish options with a delicious seafood lunch for Young’s employees - showcasing the new Funky Fish Kitchen frozen range and Gastro dishes - a newsletter and fish specials available in their canteen, Café Refresh and fish tasting sessions.

Seafood Week coincides with the Groundfish Forum, where Young’s Seafood’s Chief Executive Pete Ward will also be giving a speech touching on the health benefits of fish and the strategic importance of seafood in helping to feed the world’s growing population.

Pete Ward, Chief Executive of Young’s Seafood Limited, said: “Seafood Week is a great way to celebrate the exciting range of seafood available and I hope more people will be inspired to try responsibly sourced fish at least two times a week, in line with official health guidance, as a result of this initiative. We believe that seafood is not just important to our communities but also to the future of the world’s population. As the world’s population grows, protein demand will grow, and responsibly sourced fish can play a key role in helping to ensure fewer people go hungry. Young’s is committed to inspiring the Nation, with new recipes and brand innovation, as part of our brand’s aim to encourage people to enjoy responsibly fish at least two times a week.”

A great source of protein, fish has multiple health benefits and many people want to include seafood in their diet more often, in line with official guidance. To support this mission the brand is also launching a wide range of delicious fish dishes this Autumn. Each dish has been specially created by Young’s Seafood’s chef, who studied the latest food trends from all over the world.
