Nutriad Present EMS Strategies at 10th SWCSNFFS in China

CHINA - The 10th Symposium of the World’s Chinese Scientists on Nutrition and Feeding of Finfish and Shellfish (SWCSNFFS), the biggest aquaculture nutrition event worldwide, was held from October 22-25 in Wu Han province.

It brought together academics and industrial experts mostly from China, Taiwan as well as Chinese experts working in Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia. Over 1,500 aquaculture researchers, scientists, and industry people attended the conference.

The symposium organized scientific sessions, an industry forum and a student forum to discuss some of the aquaculture industry’s hot topics amongst famous industry leaders, researchers and students.

Participants zoomed in on Nutrient requirements & Ingredient utilization; Nutritional physiology & Animal health; Food safety & Animal quality control; Feed quality control & Processing and Feeding physiology & Technology.

Allen Wu, Reg. Mgr. Aqua - APAC (pictured) was invited to be a speaker in the Aquafeed and Application session, which was one of the best attended sessions. The discussion was chaired by Prof. Liu of the National Taiwan Ocean University and Prof. Yep, of the SooChow University in Suzhou, China.

Allen Wu presented on Nutriad’s Quorum Sensing Technology, a novel application in functional shrimp feeds for EMS strategy.

Allen Wu stated: “As I work with customers throughout Asia, I know that this topic draws a lot of attention from feedmills, shrimp hatcheries and farmers. The Chinese attendants showed strong interest in our proven technology and field experience in other countries.”
