Youth Union carries out $1.25 million aquaculture project

VIETNAM - Vietnam Central Youth Union in coordination with its provincial agency in central Thanh Hoa province Saturday launched a ground-breaking ceremony for its biggest-ever project of aquaculture in the locality.

The VND40 billion, or US$1.25 million project, located in Thanh Thuy commune, Tinh Gia district, will mainly cultivate shrimp, freshwater and rice on a total area of 113.7 hectares.

The area had been used for rice planting but it had produced low productivity.
