Print This Page Failed fish farm talks to buyers
NEW ZEALAND - The owners of a Far North fish farm that closed after constant equipment failures are talking to potential buyers about restarting it.The land-based kingfish farm at Parengarenga was hailed as a model of Maori economic development when it opened, but had to release all its kingfish in July after a series of technical faults.
Manager John Ellis says the Danish company which supplied the filters and oxygen plant has sent replacements.
