MMCD - Simplifies Fish Farming

Salmonids Technology & equipment Post-harvest +3 more

UK - To aid in the day-to-day running of fish farms Mrenot Main Component Database, (MMCD) offers fish farmers an excellent solution. The custom-made software platform is a great tool for keeping track of certificates, lifespan and inspection intervals for nets, moorings, cages and other technical equipment such as boats and generators.

It can also be used on hatcheries, service vessels and other operating equipment.

Today there are more than 300 sites using MMCD for daily maintenance and overview, in regards to inspections, checklists, non-conformity handling, stock control, reporting, user manuals and other relevant information.

“The largest markets are Norway and Scotland, but other markets such as Chile, Canada and Spain have shown interest in our software. 2016 looks very promising,” says Yngve Askeland, MD of Aqua Knowledge AS.

The MMCD is developed and continuously maintained by Aqua Knowledge AS, a company within the Mørenot Group.

Following contracts won from Marine Harvest and Scottish Sea Farms, Aqua Knowledge has appointed Carla Macvicar at Net Services Scotland to work with Scottish customers.

The Scottish Technical Standard requires a better listing of documentation and inspection. The MMCD simplifies this task.
