AKVA Group Announces New CEO

NORWAY - AKVA group ASA has appointed Hallvard Muri as its new CEO following the resignation of Trond Williksen in May.

Mr Muri was the CEO of Aker BioMarine AS for more than six years before he left the company in June 2015.

Before joining Aker BioMarine, Mr Muri had extensive experience serving in various senior management positions in Aker group companies from 2002 onwards. He has more than 25 years of senior management experience from a variety of different industries as well as fisheries and aquaculture related sectors. Muri holds an MsC (Siviløkonom) from BI/Norwegian Business School.

At the same time, I would like to express my sincere thanks to Trond Williksen for his contribution to AKVA's development since taking up his position in 2010. With the appointment of Hallvard Muri, we intend to continue the company's positive trend going forward," said Hans Kristian Mong, Chairman of the Board of AKVA group.

Hallvard Muri will take up the position as CEO of AKVA group latest on 1 January 2017.
