NORWAY - Chilean authorities have confirmed that their highest ranking fisheries official, Subsecretario de Pesca Carlos Hernández, has accepted an invitation to speak at AquaVision 2006.
Chile is along side Norway the most important salmon-producing country in the world. To have the top governmental officials for fisheries from both these nations as speakers and participants at AquaVision is very important to the conference, says general manager Jan Soppeland of BluePlanet.
The Norwegian minister of Fisheries, Ms Helga Pedersen, is already part of the programme for AquaVision 2006, which is organised in Stavanger, Norway 25-27 September.
23 speakers from 11 nations are confirmed to the conference, which is being staged for the 6th time and attracts a global audience of decision makers in and around the modern aquaculture valuechain.
